Bank of Thailand Cautions US Tariffs Could Slow Thai Growth

The Bank of Thailand (BOT) has warned that potential US tariffs could suppress Thai economic growth into early 2026. Current forecasts from the BOT point to export contractions of 4% in the second half of 2025 and 2% in the first half of 2026 if these tariffs are fully implemented. The central bank emphasizes the need for careful economic management to mitigate the impact of external trade pressures.
